Badminton
Location
Rules
The
Badminton competiton is played in categories acording to age in
singels and doubles. No age categories in mixed. Juniors compete only
in singles.
The
competition is played in a “Round Robin” format in the first
round. The groups will consist of 3 or 4 players in each group where
everyone meets everyone within the groups.
After the “Round Robin”
competition, the winner and second placed player in the groups goes on
to play the “Knock out” rounds.
Scoring
- A match consists of the best of 3 games of 21 points.
- Every time there is a serve – there is a point scored.
- The side winning a rally adds a point to its score.
- At 20 all, the side which gains a 2 point lead first, wins that game.
- At 29 all, the side scoring the 30th point, wins that game.
- The side winning a game serves first in the next game.
The
Badminton tournament of the 2011 will be played by the rules set by
The Badminton World Federation.

Ranking
is based on the last two previous results from WTG, Thailand 2007 and
Australia 2009
Equipment
Every
competitor brings his/her equipment. Badminton shuttles will be
provided at the venue.
