The 17th World Transplant Games are over and athletes from all over the world are heading for home, some quite close, some far, far away.
The Swedes are traveling the 20 000 kilometer long journey with a very special item in their bagage, the WTGF flag.
In less than two years it will fly proudly over the city of Goteborg, welcoming the athletes, who now leaves the Gold Coast of Australia, to a new adventure in the country where the sun barely sets in the summer, Sweden.
The swedish team, captained by Claes Wiren, had very successfilled games with eight gold an three bronze medals. Not bad for a team of eleven competitors.
Thank you Australia for the 17th World Transplant Games and also a big Thank you to all competitors from all continents of the world. We had a great Time!
Welcome to Goteborg, and Sweden, in June 2011!
